Blaze is comprised of a diverse, multicultural group of fire artists representing a variety of traditions from all over the world. Founded in the summer of 2007, as a multimedia performance arts ensemble, blaze remains dedicated to exposing communities in Chicago & beyond to the transformative experience of fire arts.

Blaze is a group of fire dancers who strive to embody a level of focus & intensity throughout performances, cultivating a shared awareness that connects the troupe to its audience through a mesmerizing, visually evocative tapestry of flames. The troupe collectively utilizes a rich body of knowledge to create original pieces, synthesizing martial arts, yoga, hoop dancing, traditional fire arts and music, to deliver performances designed to capture people's attention and cultivate a sense of awe.
